I started my journey into making homemade vanilla extract during the late summer of 2022. I remember thinking about these delicious brown butter chocolate cookies I wanted to make, but had run out of vanilla extract. As I went to purchase a bottle of vanilla, I saw the store was out of my usual brand. So of course I purchased a tiny bottle of the other brand, for my cookies, and went home to research how to make my own. I decided that I would not be in a situation where I had to sacrifice to quality of my baked goods ingredients again. Fast forward to Spring 2023, I have made a variety of flavored extracts and used them to create delicious treats.
